A conversation with Kristen Helling, the Assistant Deputy Director for the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation at Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities, Kristen's primary focus is providing leadership for OOD’s partnerships with other state and local agencies, including the Employment First Partnership with the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) and the Ohio Transition Support Partnership with the Ohio Department of Education. Previously, she worked for DODD as the Employment First Lead. Kristin discusses OOD’s VR partnership agreements with the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities and the Ohio Department of Education, and the state’s approach to WIOA Section 511 implementation.
