We balance potential income against expenses. Finally, we evaluate whether a particular job will help us achieve our goals. Benefits can be a lifeline, but continuous reliance on them can limit people to a life in poverty. In this conversation, we talked about what people want, and how to help them get it. Debra Whitehead, a trainer and consultant based in Colorado, and Margo Love, the employment services director with the Arc Northwest Indiana, shared their perspectives.
